The Best Applications Of An iPhone

Posted by iphone under applications on Sunday Sep 13, 2009

The iPhone comes programmed with hundreds of functions that make it the best available cell phone on the market today. Calling it a cell phone takes away from what it truly is which is nothing short of a hand held computer with the option to make phone calls, take pictures, or surf the Internet. This is probably why Apple has tried to redefine the term of cell phone by calling this magnificent device an iPhone.

The applications that are available for the iPhone increase every day and we are going to take a look at how the iPhone is gaining the support of Web sites and applications across the Web.

1. Twitter

Twitter has become one of the most diverse social networking sites available on the Internet. Now they have made an application that is specifically designed to work with your iPhone. Using this application is as simple as going to Twitter on your iPhone and following the instructions to getting the app, verifying your phone number, and getting the latest updates.

FaceBook has taken over as the premier social networking site. Just their Web code alone is taking on a life of its own so it’s no wonder they are supporting the iPhone with their Web site. Once you have downloaded the app, you are given full access to the functions and accessibility of the FaceBook Web site.

FriendBook does have a one time fee but will allow you to customize your contacts in a way never before imagined. The options with this application are countless and you can manage your contact information by providing you with a face dialer, group contact list and the option to exchange contact information.

This is a communication application that will diversify your messaging by giving you an email like interface. This will also supply you with message templates if you are not a fan of using the touch screen keypad.

6. Books

The Books application is getting tremendous support and the library that is available is quite impressive. eBooks are becoming a huge part of the Internet and the iPhone shows that they are always ahead of the game by supporting the easy read eBooks.
Now, Amazon has entered the game with a new iPhone application that allows a user to wirelessly syncronize her books from kindle to iPhone, and read them on her iPhone.

7. Open SSH

The Open SSH application gives you the ability to tap into the Mobile Web with your laptop using the access of your iPhone. If this doesn’t spell sophisticated, nothing else can.

8. Pandora

This music application is designed to help you find new artists and releases by using algorithms that fit your preferred taste. This is actually a pretty accurate little feature that is available to you on your iPhone.

This is just a list of eight applications available for you and more are being created and released everyday it seems. As the iPhone takes technology to new heights so do the applications that follow it and support it. This new trend of accessing the Web through a handheld device is setting the expectation of what the future will bring.

With the price of an iPhone becoming a little more cost effective more people are starting to acquire them. You do not need to be a Mac person to benefit or fall in love with this wonder of modern technology. It is made by Apple but is very universal in supporting both Mac applications and Windows as well. Apple sees the need to make everything compatible even if Windows doesn’t.

Hundreds of options pour out of the iPhone and making full use of the device is difficult with all the options it offers. We are seeing every other wireless carrier and manufacturer including Samsung, LG, and Motorola constantly trying to catch up to the capabilities of the iPhone. Many are having little success with devices such as Verizon Wireless’ Storm, Voyager, and the newly released Net Book. It would appear that the Net Book is going to be the closest thing to give the iPhone a run for its money however, since the Net Book is a smaller, more compact laptop with no memory functions it’s hard to compare it to the iPhone. However, companies need to do something with Apple running away with and monopolizing electronic equipment. They were reborn with the iPod and iTunes and now we are seeing the iPhone finish the deal.

Unfortunately for other companies nothing can compare to the iPhone, not even the short lived BlackBerry. Before the release of the iPhone it seemed that everyone wanted a BlackBerry and now it would appear that ship has sailed. The BlackBerry’s small screen and use of the goofy stylus has many people wishing they would have gotten an iPhone. The larger touch screen is such a more attractive feature than the useless little stylus.

No matter what we see released from other companies, there is no comparison to the Apple iPhone.
They mastered what anybody could ever need in this world of wireless devices. Streaming live television was something that was only imagined in a science fiction TV show or novel and now we are seeing this in real life. For lack of a better way to explain the beauty of the iPhone, it is just simply neat piece of equipment.

One thing that is for certain about the iPhone is that its way ahead if its time and the game for that matter. With the easy access to the Internet through Mobile Web and Wi-Fi, the support of streaming video, audio, and the 3G network, and the amazing GPS capabilities make this hand held device the best we have seen released to the public to date. Now that we have been exposed to the iPhone for a few years it has not lost any of the appeal it had when it was being promoted and marketed for its release.

The future of Apple is bright to say the least and people wait in anticipation to see what will be next. They are not claiming to be the cheapest product on the market with their Mac laptops and other wireless devices but they are claiming to be the best and it would appear that there is no legitimate argument against this claim. The Amazing Possibilities Of An iPhone

Posted by iphone under Uncategorized on Friday Jun 5, 2009

S ince the inception of the iPhone many other phones are trying to mimic the functions and capabilities that it brings to the table. The iPhone truly is an amazing device and it is basically a handheld computer that is always able to connect to the Internet. Competitors such as Verizon Wireless and Sprint PCS are trying their hardest to keep up with the iPhone but with little success. Any person that owns an iPhone will rave about it for hours if you give them the chance.

One of the many uses of an iPhone is for people who own a small business or even handle a lot of business in general. The iPhone can make it seem like you never even left the office because it will handle all or your email needs just as well as a desktop or laptop computer. It will also support conference calls and call merging along with other basic cell phone options such as caller ID and call waiting. It will also connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or wireless router. This is a huge function for any person of business because you are able to bypass things needing to be in PDF format.

There is also an available media player and i-Tunes compatible i-Pod program that will hold and store music and movies. There is even the ability to watch live television from it as well. This and Verizon’s Voyager were the first to accomplish this feat and even thought you have to pay extra for the airtime services it’s a great feature for any sports or news fanatic.

One of the odd things about an iPhone, which you would expect for it to feature, is there is no ability to record videos. You would think a phone of this caliber would most certainly support that function considering phones that are nowhere near as sophisticated can do this. However, the fact of the matter remains that this is not possible. It does have a camera and will take pictures, which is good because you instantly have them in your online picture albums with out ever needing to transfer them from a memory card.

The iPhone also supports a very in depth navigation system that is not only equipped with GPS but an advanced version that will allow you to locate just about anything, anywhere, at any time. This is a great added element to the iPhone because it eliminates the need to get a GPS system that is susceptible to not only being stolen but requires a monthly airtime charge as well.

Navigating through the touch screen of an iPhone is a piece of cake and when you are exposed to one you see how well Apple Inc did to bring us this phone or little hand held computer device. It supports any primary function a regular cell phone does and has set a new standard for all phones to be aimed at. It would not be surprising in ten years to see every phone that is manufactured be similar or more profound than the iPhone.

Aside from being great for a business personality the iPhone has many other functions for personal use.

Becoming Familiar With iPhone Tips And Tricks

Posted by iphone under Uncategorized on Monday May 11, 2009

D ue to iPhone being such a sophisticated piece of equipment there are many things that you can take advantage of when owning one. There are many functions available, so many in fact it will take some time to read and become familiar with the less popular of the advertised features. Using the convenience that an iPhone allocates is something that can make you the envy of anyone who has a cell phone that is not an iPhone. They are the most advanced phone to date and just calling it a phone does not do it justice in the slightest.

Many little features were programmed into the iPhone and if you don’t take the time to know them you are going to be missing out on some of the clever little things Apple Inc has made available to you. Due to the iPhone supporting the Safari Web browser you can watch Google videos on your iPhone that stream from the Internet. Its lacking ability of supporting Flash is a disappointment but it does make up for this with the capability to watch Google videos.

Another minor issue that many people complained about right after the release of the iPhone is the fact that the ringtone volume is set so low for the already installed ringtones. This was frustrating for a lot of people because if you can’t here the alerts you will constantly have to check you phone. However, using the installed iPod on the device will allow you to change the volume of the ringtones that you download onto your iPhone.

Scrolling through anything on the Internet when using a screen as small as that of the iPhone can be aggravating but there is a small feature than allows you to double tap the top of the screen to get back to the top of the Web page. This might seem like a trivial feature but navigating through long Web pages without a mouse can be a bit of a challenge and Apple realized this and made the appropriate adjustments to deal with it.

Using a Bluetooth for streaming audio is also a great feature for the iPhone. This gives you the capacity to upload whatever you are watching on the iPhone right into your Bluetooth. Many people were upset that it was not compatible with an A2DP Bluetooth and this more than makes up for purchasing one that is compatible to work with your iPhone.

Using the mapping system that comes programmed with your iPhone to its fullest function capabilities is something that makes it a diverse GPS device. You can save your locations so this means that getting directions will literally take just a second or two. Once you save your address under the home option you will always be able to make that your starting location and it will provide you with maps all around the area with local points of interest. Aside from this, you can save other destinations as well so if you are traveling to many different locations frequently you will always have access to getting directions in the drop of a dime. The points of interest is also a great feature because you can find anything you are looking for as long as they are uploaded into the GPS system (like a phonebook for directions) by the navigation program itself.

There are many functions of the iPhone and reading the manual, searching the Internet, or even enlisting in conversations with other iPhone carriers will fill you in on the details of something you may be missing out on. iPhones are not cheap so maximizing the full potential of these remarkable devices should be a given.

Apple iPhone To Reinvent The Wheel

J obes said we all hate our cell phones, and I think he was right. The design of the cell phone, that in the last years taken from it more then a status symbol and a device in which your contact’s phone numbers are stored has 2 critical problems. The first is a fashion problem

Most of the cellulars and specially the smart one are not pretty nor attract. It sounds like something unimportant, however consumers, now and ever always wanted their products to be not only usable, but also nice to our eyes, and even more important to the eyes of the people in out surrounding. The second problem in designing is the limitation on the usability. A device that should give us a way to dial, to play music, to browse the Internet, to send sms requires a complex user interface, that have tens of buttons, a thing that make it ugly and/or very thick. Here is where Jonathan Ive is coming to the picture. He brings us an ultra thin phone large enough to carry the largest and best screen that ever seen on cell phone (3.5′) and at the same time keep on reasonable size to carry.

Over 200 Patents Are Applicable To The Apple iPhone Among Them:

  • A censor that will turn off the screen when you put it near your ear, so during your conversation you won’t accidentally press on any keys.
  • A light censor that will adjust the brightness of the screen to the light conditions outside.
  • A new multi-touch technology that allow you to tough the screen (did i mentioned it is 3.5′?) with two fingers at the same time, not only you can type faster, but also you can edit pictures that will pass from you computer, or pictures that will be taken with the built in 2MP camera.

Demo

How Do You Dial It?

No problem! The home page of the Apple iPhone has four main buttons on the button of the touch screen:

  • I-Pod
  • Internet
  • Email
  • Phone

You should press the green button and the screen will display you your contact list. And than…. first you press on the contact (if you have his image, you will simply press on it), then you will have to select between home, office, cell, and Here you go!

Now you have some more simple buttons like a speaker, freeze, and so on, all ready on the screen, just waiting to your fingers!

Incoming Call?

T he buttons changed again, and let you hang up the current call, or freeze it, and to get into a state of hold. Now the buttons changed again and let you make a conference call.

The lack of fixed buttons in the Apple iPhone make the interface not only nicer but also more user able, simpler and quicker.

You cannot become confused, or hit on the wrong button. The right buttons for the actions that now relevant to your screen are being displayed and the rest….. gone!

Dial Digit After Digit

By the way anyone that likes to dial digit after digit (the previous century style) you can do that too.

Does It Make Coffee?

No.

Soon

  • How to use the camera?
  • How to use the Internet?
  • How to use email?
  • How to use ipod?
